Hot Air Balloons
Weather permitting, the hot air balloons will fill the main arena with their massive presence in the late afternoon/early evening on each day.
They are dramatic, colourful, graceful and awe-inspiring. Who doesn't wish they could climb into the basket and simply float up and over the grandstand and away into the distance?
It is, without doubt, one of the most dramatic of scenes to grace the main ring at the Royal Cornwall Show.
See the balloons slowly fill with hot air and gradually come to life as they lift off the ground and begin straining at their anchor ropes.
The moment they lift off in such graceful silence never fails to inspire the watching crowd.
