The Showground

Last year, the Royal Cornwall Show attendance broke all records, with over 124,000 people flowing through the gates. And what did they find when they got there?

A fantastic three-day event bustling with life and bursting with energy. Agriculture, entertainment and trade combining to create something unique in a wonderful atmosphere. Cornish through and through and reflecting much of what makes Cornwall so special.

With so many people in one big space at the same time, the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association has a policy of investing in top class facilities. Recent improvements include new toilets and showers, new and improved buildings and tarmac roadways.

Main Gate

There are new entrance buildings, well equipped with a range of facilities and, behind the scenes electricity networks have been upgraded in line with the requirements of a major modern event.

Catering is carefully monitored so high standards and choice are maintained and an emphasis placed on local produce wherever possible; new fencing has been installed around the show rings. There are wheelchairs for people with disabilities to hire (advance booking required) and a free hop-on, hop-off bus service tours the vast site.

Facilities and conditions for the many thousands of animals and birds at the show are also kept at a high standard.
