Special features
Women's Institute
There are 177 Women's Institutes in Cornwall, with a total of 5,000 members. That represents a lot of talent, a strong voice, and a great opportunity for friendship, education and mutual support. Each year at the Royal Cornwall Show, the institutes come together in a joint marquee. It is their biggest promotional and social event of the year.
There are competitions and the chance to learn a lot about this widespread organisation. Education, socialising and friendship are key aims. You can sit down and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee (from proper china cups!), browse around publications and craft work as well as shopping in the WI Country Market. And if you want to talk about surfing and sailing, this is also the place to be!
